Civilitas periodically conducts opinion research to determine the public pulse on domestic and regional issues of concern. This program was initially supported by the Germany Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is currently supported, in part, by the National Endowment for Democracy.

Migration Research in Our Spotlight

In December 2013, the Civilitas Foundation secured funding from the Open Society Foundation’s Think Tank Fund for research fellowship on an issue that is not only a priority area for Civilitas, but Armenia’s policy context in general. Armenia undergoes strong migration flows, mainly outbound migration, which receive most of public attention and concern with much less policy, programs and public involvement in in-migration facilitation, despite Armenia being a receiving country for refugees (mainly of Armenian descent) from Syria and Iraq.

Civilitas Polls

Within the framework of the project, in total 6 polling rounds with 3,630 successful interviews were completed. The first 4 polling rounds were based on the panel provided by CRRC (Caucasus Research Resource Centers), which comprised around 600 respondents. The panel was collected through face-to-face survey
